What do dietitians do?
Dietitians help people make healthy food choices and separate fact from fiction to distinguish healthy eating plans from those that don’t provide optimal nourishment. Dietitians can provide information and advice that is individualized to meet the needs of each client. Dietitians translate scientific evidence into practical solutions to promote health and help clients manage health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, food allergies as well as help clients use nutrition to help with recovery after surgery or injury. Dietitians can work with any age group, from managing the challenges of feeding a toddler to maintaining optimal nutrition for elderly clients.
